In 2008, Basfood launched two innovative products: www.fieldlook.com and www.croplook.com.

Fieldlook.com 
With Fieldlook.com you will receive weekly throughout the season various growth parameters, such as development of the biomass, nitrogen (important for fertilization), soil moisture, but also yield information and dry matter content, in pixels of 10x10 meter accuracy. Yield is available for potatoes, corn, cereals and sugar beet, from potatoes is even under water weight available. In the near future this information will become available for more products.

In 2008 Basfood had a coverage of four satellite areas in the Netherlands. In total there were 1,500 growers in those areas who participated in Fieldlook.com (Mijnakker.nl). In 2009 Fieldlook.com was introduced in the whole Netherlands. In 2010 Fieldlook.com was avalaible in the Netherlands, parts of Belgium and parts of Russia.

Croplook
With Croplook.com, you receive the latest market information on the total potato yields in Europe. You can see exactly where potatoes are grown, the number of hectares and the yield and dry matter content per hectare. In the future this system will also be extended to other products.
